RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann features high on the shortlist at Liverpool of candidates to succeed Jurgen Klopp.
Nagelsmann, still only 32, moved from Hoffenheim to RBL last summer and has guided the club to Champions League quarterfinals this season.
The Liverpool Echo says the German has been followed closely by Liverpool since his first months taking charge at TSG and his impact with RBL has only strengthened his case.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard and Klopp's assistant Pep Lijnders have also been considered as successors. However, Nagelsmann's candidacy has strengthened thanks to his work this season.
Klopp's contract with Liverpool runs to 2024.
