Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has explained releasing goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen back to Barcelona.

Ter Stegen has returned to Barca with a back injury.

Nagelsmann said, “He will miss both games because he has acute pain in his back. He will fly to Barcelona tomorrow.

“I hope he will be available again soon to play with his team."

Ter Stegen will miss Euro2024 hosts Germany's friendlies against Turkey and Austria.
