NAC Breda defender Colin Rosler: Why I left Man City

NAC Breda defender Colin Rosler has explained his decision to leave Manchester City.

The Norway youth international left City this year for a permanent move to NAC.

He told Voetbalzone: “I think there's few clubs in the world where it is more difficult to make it in the first team. That chance is just very, very small. I realised that I wouldn't make it quickly, so it was better to play elsewhere in a first team instead of training with City as an Under-23 player and every now and then for the first team."

Rosler, the son of former City star Uwe Rosler, admits he looked up to former City captain Vincent Kompany when the pair were with the club.

He added: “He is one of my great examples, I always tried to focus on the defenders and take the details from their game. It was wonderful to see them at work up close and to ask questions. Kompany was the captain, a brilliant leader. He was very helpful to the young players."
