Musialik keen to stay and fight for Sydney FC

Stuart Musialik knows he must remain at Sydney FC and fight hard for his position.

The former Olyroos star has struggled to impress new Sky Blues Vitezslav Lavicka since his arrival in the Harbour City and has not yet made an A-League appearance so far this season.

But the former Newcastle Jets man knows hard work is the only way he can win over the Czech tactician.

"At the end of the day I can look at it as a test of mental strength and character,'' he said.

"It would be easy to pack my bags and go somewhere else. I think if I did do that then I'd be running away from the challenge.

"I know that if I do the hard yards and work my way into the squad then it would make it much more satisfying than running somewhere else which, I suppose, would be the easy option.''
