Moyes handed transfer control as West Ham prepare new deal

West Ham United are putting all their eggs in the David Moyes basket this summer.

Despite an indifferent spell since joining the club early in the season, Moyes is seen by the Hammers board as the man to bring the good times back to the club.

He will be given a new deal in the summer according to the Evening Standard. The paper also claims that Moyes will have a good amount of control regarding transfers for the summer window.

Moyes does not want to work with a director of football. It is his one condition for signing a new deal and staying at the club for the long term.

But the club's board know they have not done a very good job on transfers in recent years. They trust Moyes, given his ability to work on a tight budget at Everton earlier in his career.
