Mourinho says current Chelsea kids best he's ever seen

Chelsea's future will be built on the current graduates from their academy, a bullish Jose Mourinho claims.

Positively buzzing, Mourinho reeled off a string of starlet names now part of the senior squad and destined to make the grade.

The ex-Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Porto coach said: "For the first time since I've been at Chelsea, there's a group, all aged between 17 and 20, we know will be Chelsea players - unless something happens inside their head.

"For example Dominic Solanke WILL be a Chelsea striker. And others like Jeremie Boga, Isaiah Brown, Andreas Christiansen, Nathan Ake and Lewis Baker all have the same potential.

"You look at the defenders in my squad this season. I have five seniors at the top of their careers competing for four places.

"But then we have three more, all under 20, working and learning from the others.

"Our squad has been built in a way that, yes, we are strong now but, yes, we are also going to be strong in the future."
