Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is chasing Schalke whizkid Max Meyer.WAZ says Mourinho believes the teenage midfielder is a future worldbeater and has convinced Blues chief Michael Emenalo to green light a bid for Meyer in January.
Chelsea are ready to open negotiations with Schalke with an offer of €15 million - which is just €3 million short of Meyer's buyout clause. His deal runs to 2017.
Fiorentina have already failed with a bid of €6 million for Meyer this season.
