Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was happy to name Paul Pogba captain ahead of last night's victory over Leicester City.
The 25-year-old had also been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, but has been handed a huge vote of confidence by his boss.
Prior to kick off, Mourinho explained why he named Pogba captain for the Leicester clash.
"Last season he was captain a few times," he told Sky Sports. "The captain is [Antonio] Valencia. He is not here. Pogba is one of the options [when Valencia is not here].
"It's his third season, he's come through the academy and knows the club well.
"He is a good example in the dressing room."
