Mourinho admits concerns Man Utd squad could be stretched

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho admits his squad could be stretched to the limit later this season.

United go to Stoke unbeaten in 16 games and looking to overtake fifth-placed Manchester City in the Premier League table. Mourinho's side are also on course for the EFL Cup final and have progressed in the Europa League and FA Cup.

He said: "Probably in some positions we are going to have problems because we don't have so many options.

"In terms of injury we are being successful. Hopefully until the end of the season we won't have many problems and we survive and have conditions to fight for the whole competitions we are in.

"We are thinking and believing that we go further in the cup competitions, have lots of matches to play and an accumulation of fixtures in April and May.

"We have Europa League matches on Thursdays and Premier League matches on Sundays because I don't see us getting a little bonus of having a match on Monday."
