Moscow's Odemwingie keen on Premier League move

Lokomotiv Moscow striker Peter Odemwingie has revealed his wish to play in the English Premier League.

It is believed that Everton are interested in the Nigerian international but the player himself admits a move in the current transfer window is unlikely.

Clubs have shown and continue to show an interest in me from Europe, Odemwingie told Russian newspaper Sovetsky Sport.

"I'm more and more often thinking about continuing my career in the West. This wish is a lot to do with the Nigerian National team.

"It is getting close to the World Cup in South Africa. The fans are getting more interested in the national team, but practically never see my games in Russia.

"All of Nigeria has for a long time been hooked on the English Premier League, they show it everywhere.

"Everybody advises me, even asks me, the people from the Federation, friends, fans - transfer to England."
