Real Madrid hero Fernando Morientes has no doubts they're Champions League favourites.
Morientes accompanied the Champions League trophy on its trip to Mexico and indicated that his former team can be labelled as favourites to win 'La Decimotercera', despite their domestic issues.
"There have been games where [Real Madrid] played to obtain points in LaLiga, but nothing was achieved," he said.
"That has caused the gap in terms of points with those above.
"In the Champions League they are reaching the expected level and, even more, when many have said they weren't going to be able [to achieve that].
"They have struggled in LaLiga, but in the Champions League they maintain that great level to which they have been accustomed and now they are clear favourites."
