More injury misery for Rangers striker Novo

Rangers' Spanish striker Nacho Novo is facing six weeks on the sidelines after suffering ankle ligament damage. Rangers boss Walter Smith has confirmed the serious nature of the injury which leaves the 29-year-old facing a battle to return in time for the Co-operative Insurance Cup final against Celtic at Hampden on 15 March.

"Nacho is going to be out for a bit longer than we thought and it is a loss for us," said Smith. "The ligament damage means he will be out for between four to six weeks."
