More fans arrested over racist and homophobic chanting

Police have bailed three more people in connection with racist and homophobic chanting at Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell during the game with Tottenham. Hampshire Police released images of 16 men who are believed to have shouted the abuse at Campbell.

Of the 16 suspects, police believe they have identified 12 and have now questioned and released on bail a total of five.

The remaining seven identified suspects will be questioned in the next few days.

A police spokesman said: "Officers have received a steady stream of information and names, however they are keen to stress that they would like to hear from anyone who recognises the remaining four people."
