Former West Bromwich Albion skipper Darren Moore has hailed the impact of Joleon Lescott.
Lescott joined WBA in August from Manchester City.
Moore told the Birmingham Mail: "The first game he played was for the Under-21s against Hull City and, as a fellow centre-back, you could see once he got through the first 15 minutes he was like a Rolls Royce.
"I knew he was a good player and a fantastic operator but the good thing was the information that he gave to the younger players was exceptional.
"Joleon is a player who has won this division, he knows what it's all about and for a couple of seasons played alongside arguably one of the best centre-halves in the world in Vincent Kompany."
