Montreal Impact have signed Andres Romero to a new contract.
The 25-year old Argentine spent two seasons on loan with the Impact from Brazilian club Tombense but has now signed permanently on a multi-year deal.
Montreal head coach Frank Klopas admitted it was a great feeling to secure Romero who was the Impact's MVP in 2014 after scoring six goals and providing three assists in 29 appearances.
"We are very pleased to have secured Andres' permanent transfer from Tombense FC," Klopas said in a statement.
"I was confident that we would reach an agreement. Andres did great things in 2014, and we believe he will continue to help this team in the future."
