Montreal Impact are looking to attract more players this off-season after capturing Italian midfielder Marco Donadel.
The 31-year old joined the MLS club on Monday following his release from Serie A outfit Napoli at the end of last season in what is a major coup for the Impact.
Head coach Frank Klopas was absolutely thrilled to announce the signing of Donadel, who spent six years with Fiorentina, but suggested that there were other possible transfers in the pipelines as Montreal prepare early for the 2015 MLS season.
"Marco is a huge addition for our organization and for our team, but he's not the only one there," Klopas said in a conference call.
"We're working hard right now on some situations, and players like Patrice [Bernier, team captain], where the talks are going really well and we're close to finalizing something, so I'm positive about that.
"I also spoke about adding another player in midfield and two players in the backline."
Donadel, who counts AC Milan, Lecce, Parma, Sampdoria and Verona as his other former clubs, recently spent 10 days training with the Impact prior to signing with the Canadian side.
