Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has turned on his fans after their Europa League elimination.

Montella was angry with the jeers from home supporters on Thursday as they were dumped out of Europe by Sevilla.

"I think this team does not deserve to be derided," said Montella.

"They can be jeered and insulted, but I will defend this group. My lads deserve to be defended and I am prepared to go up against an entire city if needed."
