Arsenal are ready to deal in defender Nacho Monreal.

El Mundo Deportivo says Monreal will be handed a new contract at the Emirates as a reward for his good form.

The 29-year-old has ousted Kieran Gibbs as the Gunners' first-choice left-back in recent months.

His new deal - which is set to be finalised in the summer - will see him receive in the region of £65,000-per-week.
