Borussia Monchengladbach defender Steve Gohouri is intent on winning a contract in the English Premier League.

The Ivorian was strongly linked with a move in the January transfer window but no official dealings were ever undertaken.

Now Gohouri wants to make a dream come true

"I have always wanted to realise a dream of playing in England. It is my destiny," Gohouri told skysports.com.

"I want to play in England because I feel that I have proven myself in Germany.

"However, I love the Borussia fans too much to walk away now and I will give 100 per cent to ensure that we stay in the Bundesliga.

"At the end of the season I will then sit down and decide with the club and my agent what happens next.

"I have always said that it would be a dream to play in the Premier League, but sometimes dreams do not happen. I would therefore stay in Monchengladbach and it would not be a problem."
