Monaco's midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia has revealed that his side were frightened after conceding the first goal in the first half of Champions League encounter against Arsenal on Tuesday.
Monaco lost the second tie at home 2-0 but still managed to progress to the quarter-finals of Europe's premier club competition via the away-goal rule.
Referring to Olivier Giroud's 36th-minute opener, Kondogbia told BeIn Sports: "The first goal put us in a difficult position and after that we frightened ourselves. We managed to get through in the end thanks to our solidarity.
"People weren't expecting us [to win the tie]. We knew we weren't favourites, but we knew it was possible."
