Molby understands Swansea sacking Laudrup

Liverpool legend Jan Molby can understand Swansea City sacking Michael Laudrup.

The Dane had a spell in charge of Swans himself.

"Looking from the outside, you would have to say Swansea's decision to sack Michael Laudrup was harsh. But people inside the club have said there were problems for a while and divisions in the camp. The quality of the training was also questioned.

"I know Michael as well as anyone in England and he has a certain way of dealing with things. He's not a ranter and raver. His style was more than good enough for Swansea last season but they've decided to go in another direction.

"They were abject in his last game in charge at West Ham and the board obviously decided he could no longer motivate the players."
