Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is ready to keep Luka Modric benched for next week's El Clasico with Barcelona.

That's according to Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, while speaking on El Chiringuito.

Modric has lost his first-choice status this season under coach Zinedine Zidane.

And Inda says: "Modric is not happy with his position on the team, he is playing less than he expected.

"There is the Euros and if he does not play he will have a complicated one, he has even thought about going out in the winter to have minutes.

"Zidane has informed him that he will almost certainly not be a starter in the Clasico."
