Newcastle United midfielder Mo Diame insists that the Magpies have finally found their rhythm in the Championship.
The Magpies started their campaign with two consecutive losses but Rafa Benitez's side have managed to win their next three games and now sit fourth on the table.
"When the season started maybe we were still thinking about last season and the mood was still about the games we lost back then," Diame, who arrived from Hull City this summer, said of Saturday's 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
"But we're feeling better now. It was important to finish the month strongly going into the international break and we need to build on this run now.
"We'll soon know who is going to leave by the end of the transfer window, and then the squad will be focused on the same target."
