Major League Soccer (MLS) will return to play this year after the players' union agreed financial concessions and a modified collective bargaining agreement (CBA) which will run until 2025, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The MLS Players Association (MLSPA) approved a proposal from MLS that avoids the lockout that had been threatened and is intended to soften the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

With play suspended since 12th March, the door is now open for MLS to return in July with a tournament to be held at the Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando. According to ESPN, teams are expected at the site in three weeks.
