MLS number one draft pick Wenger commits to Montreal Impact

Montreal Impact young gun Andrew Wenger has graduated from Duke University to become a full-time part of the MLS franchise.

The versatile 21-year old was selected with the number one pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft but has only been a part-time member of the Impact squad whilst finishing his history degree.

After graduating, Wenger can concentrate on his professional career with Montreal and admits things on the pitch will be a bit easier now he can work on his game on a daily basis.

"I can finally just try to get a little rhythm, keep things together and keep them moving every day because it was a little hard, training well a couple of days, then leaving and coming back. There's continuation now," he told MLSsoccer.com.

"I definitely think I put together a couple of good performances here and there when I was available to play. I'm still trying to improve myself every day. It's three months that I may have lost, but in the big scheme of things, I'm glad that I have my degree. I just have to keep working hard in order to make up time."
