Talks with MLS about a team in the Sacramento region has been confirmed.

Elk Grove Mayor Jim Cooper admits speaking with MLS about the prospect.

"Without going too much in-dept, there have been discussions, I'll say that, with an MLS team," Cooper told The Sacramento Press.
