Eddie Johnsons' proposed move to Major League Soccer has fallen through with the league confirming so this week.
The former Fulham striker was set to sign a deal with MLS but could not agree terms and has pulled out, meaning he is still a free agent.
MLS Executive Vice-President of Competition and Player Relations, Todd Durbin, said that the league and player had not come to an agreement on terms in the contract.
"We had reached agreement, subject to formal documents," Durbin told MLSsoccer.com.
"It's unfortunate the player did not want to conclude a formal agreement, but we wish him well in his future endeavors."
