MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is anxious for the hype around 14 year-old Seyi Ojo to die down.
Chelsea and Liverpool are chasing the England youth international, with the Blues having lodged a £2 million offer.
Robinson knows Ojo is destined for a bright future as Premier League clubs continue to show interest.
"I think I've seen him once around the training ground (because he's been playing for the England Under-16s) since all this hype's happened," the MK Dons chief told Sky Sports.
"He's a very talented player but in relation to him moving on that's something that is out of my control.
"It's all about the boy. It's about him being happy and developing with his talent being nurtured. He is one that the country can look forward to watching playing in a few years' time."
Robinson admits it is surprising to see the amount of headlines the youngster is attracting and he would prefer for Ojo to be allowed the chance to focus on school and his football.
"It is (surprising) but it's you lot who make all the speculation and I just do my job and care for the boy and his wellbeing.
"I just hope it does die down a bit because it's going to affect him.
"It affects players at the highest level when they talk about moving so for a kid at 14 let's just let him go back to school and play his football because that's what he deserves.
"Wherever his ability will take him that's the future and we can't predict the future.
"We can only predict the here and now."
