Mitoma scores twice as Brighton defeat Bournemouth

Kaoru Mitoma jumped from the bench to score twice for Brighton in their 3-1 win against Bournemouth.

Seagulls manager Roberto de Zerbi's substitutions made the difference on the day.

Japan winger Mitoma scored 16 seconds after coming on, then headed in later to clinch a third straight Premier League win.

Bournemouth were ahead when Dominic Solanke pounced on an error by Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.

Brighton looked sluggish until Cherries fullback Milos Kerkez's own goal drew them level in first-half injury time.

Then Mitoma and Ansu Fati were thrown on by De Zerbi and the attacking pair transformed the game in the hosts' favour.

The win lifts Brighton to third place.
