German daily Bild suggests that FC Nuremberg striker Marek Mintal is on his way to Toronto to put the finishing touches on a deal with the MLS club.

Toronto FC offered the 33-year old Slovakian a deal and it is believed that he is prepared to depart Nuremberg after seven-and-a-half years service.

Mintal is a former Slovakia international, making close to 50 appearances, in a career that has spanned 15 years.

He kicked off his professional playing days in his homeland with MSK Zilina in 1996 before moving onto the German Bundesliga with Nuremberg in 2003.
