James Milner wants clear-the-air talks with Manchester City.
The Daily Star says he wants showdown talks with Manuel Pellegrini before deciding his Manchester City future.
Milner has not been offered a new deal and several clubs are keen to sign him this summer, with Arsenal and Liverpool leading the chase for the former Leeds, Newcastle and Aston Villa star.
He could choose to run down his contract and leave Pellegrini's men for nothing next summer, but City are loathed to let him go for nothing.
A source said: "There is still a lot to decide and he needs to sit down with Manuel Pellegrini to discuss his future.
"But the World Cup is all he is focusing on now so nothing will happen until after this is finished.
"It means his future is left in limbo but it will get resolved one way or another before the start of next season."
