James Milner says he's prepared to bide his time at Aston Villa.
The winger said: "I haven't been frustrated at not starting games.
"Don't get me wrong, every footballer wants to play but the lads have been brilliant all season and have been picking up some great results.
"What's important to me is being part of a massive football club like Aston Villa who are doing well on a number of fronts.
"There is competition for places and the key to that is 'if you play well you keep your place'. That's the way it should be. That's what has been happening.
"I'd be delighted if we won every game this season, sat on the bench and we were successful. There wouldn't be anyone happier than me. It's healthy to have competition in the squad."
