Crystal Palace captain Luka Milivojevic spoke about his "inconvenient" summer.

The Serbian had a difficult off season, where he was linked to several clubs in Europe.

He was in the last year of his contract with Palace.

But he did not get any great offers from elsewhere and ended up committing to Palace.

"It was a little inconvenient because I was entering the last year of the contract," Milivojevic told Serbian newspaper Kurir.

"In football, it is a little inconvenient when you enter the last year, all sorts of things happen.

"I know, I didn't get the top offer and I extended the contract."
