Simon Mignolet says he remains determined to leave Liverpool.

Despite Loris Karius' departure for Besiktas this weekend, fellow reserve goalkeeper Mignolet insists he also wants out.

"That transfer for Karius does not change anything for me," Mignolet told HLN.

"I have always been clear: I want to play. Number two or number three makes little difference. Playing minutes are the most important. Nothing has been said to me after the departure of Loris.

"So I do not know how my future at Liverpool is. We'll see what happens this week."

He also said, "I find it bizarre that Karius is loaned, while I also had options to be loaned. But for some reason that was not possible. A goalkeeper who got the preference on me last year may leave on a loan basis. Strange."
