Simon Mignolet believes Liverpool are better equipped to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
The Reds came close to breaking their Premier League duck in the 2013/14 campaign but fell two points short of Manchester City.
On that occasion, current Barcelona ace Luis Suarez was the standout performer with 31 goals, but this season, the Reds top the league's scoring with 49 goals from 21 matches, which suggests to goalkeeper Mignolet that the workload is being shared around more evenly.
"We were challenging for the title but it was a totally different game and a totally different 11 people," he said.
"Then we were a bit reliant on the individual ability of Luis Suarez to make the difference and score goals.
"Now it is more about the whole team, the way we create chances and defend as a unit. We need everybody.
"It is always better to have a good unit than being reliant on one or two players."
The Belgian added: "People said when Philippe (Coutinho) went out of the team injured it was going to be a big blow but we dealt with it.
"Sadio (Mane) has gone to the Africa Cup of Nations but we have more than enough players to help each other out."
