FC Midtjylland defender Winston Reid is being linked with a move to English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers.

The promising New Zealand international, who has spent almost his entire career in Denmark, had a break-out performance in the All Whites' unbeaten World Cup campaign and is already attracting plenty of interest.

The 21-year olds name has been linked with New Zealand captain Ryan Nelsen's club as Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is reportedly planning to bring the pair together so they can recreate their brilliant defensive performances against Slovakia, Italy and Paraguay in South Africa.
