The former Rangers player helped the Steelmen qualify for the UEFA Cup after joining on a short-term deal in February following his exit from Derby.

McGhee said: "Bob said that for the next couple of weeks he would like to keep his options open and see what's out there, he doesn't want to rush anything.

"I have given him until the start of pre-season training, which is July 3, before we have to look elsewhere."
