Middlesbrough striker Mido has settled quickly into his loan with Wigan Athletic.

Mido says: "I believe I've reached the part of my career where I need to play for a manager who has a lot of confidence in me and wants to get the best out of me.

"I think Steve Bruce has been trying to sign me for some years now, he knows what I can do and that is important to me.

"There is a great spirit within the Wigan dressing room and a really fantastic self-belief."
