Championship outfit Middlesbrough have handed trials to Nigeria striker Bartholomew Ogbeche.
The 27-year-old is a free agent after leaving Greek side Kavala and played for Boro's development squad at Blackburn this week scoring twice in a 5-2 win, says the Daily Mail.
Manager Tony Mowbray is keeping him on for an extended look with a view to offering him a deal.
Ogbeche first grabbed headlines as a 17-year-old at Paris St Germain and went to the World Cup in 2002.
But he drifted out of favour and spent four years playing in Spain with Real Valladolid, Cadiz and Alves.
