Middlesbrough are interested in NAC Breda striker Matthew Amoah.

The Sunday Sun says Dutch sources claim Boro have inquired about NAC Breda's Ghanaian striker, who is the top scorer in Holland.

Amoah, 27, has 10 goals in as many games this season, lifting Breda to the top of the Eredivisie, and though he has two years left on his current contract, he said: "All top players want to move to England - it is the best.

"I am waiting to hear from my agent but I know there have been inquiries from two clubs, but they have to agree a price with my club. I am scoring, so people will be interested in me."
