Middlesbrough will land Fabio Da Silva from Cardiff City n the next two days, according to reports.
Sky Sports is of the belief that the Premier League returnees will conclude a deal for the Brazilian full-back in the next 48 hours ahead of this coming weekend's season opener against Stoke City.
Fabio, 26, has a year to run on his Cardiff contract but was left out of the Bluebirds squad for last weekend's Championship opener against Birmingham City.
The former Manchester United defender will become Aitor Karanka's eighth summer signing, following Victor Valdes, Alvaro Negredo, Antonio Barragan, Viktor Fischer, Marten de Roon, Brad Guzan and Bernardo Espinosa to the Riverside.
