Middlesbrough's players were proud after their Carabao Cup semifinal win against Chelsea.

Boro won the first-leg 1-0 thanks to Hayden Hackney's goal.

Boro captain Jonny Howson said: "These opportunities don't come around too often, it's the first time in my career. You have to make the most of it, give it your all, your best shot and see what happens."

Goalscorer Hackney also said: "We stuck to the plan and tried to keep it tight and catch them on the counter. It was a great ball, I just got on the end of it.

"I think we did really well tonight, but it's a completely different game away from home. We will give it our best shot."
