Middlesbrough goalkeeper coach Paul Barron appears on his way to Newcastle United.

The highly-rated coach didn't put the Boro keepers through their paces at the Reebok Stadium on Sunday, leading to speculation that he was in the process of changing clubs. Academy keeping coach Stephen Pears looked after the keepers.

Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce is in the process of re-shuffling his backroom team and Barron is expected to be the latest addition.
