Middlesbrough keen on Man City keeper Bazunu

The future of Manchester City goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu could be set for a twist.

The Manchester Evening News says Bazunu has had a strong start to his loan at Portsmouth this season, with new reports today suggesting Middlesbrough have approached the Blues over maybe taking him for the rest of the campaign in the Championship.

Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley has previously confirmed that City do have a recall clause, but only in the event of an injury crisis at the Etihad, but he has said this week that Pompey are close to signing a young goalkeeper to act as back-up to Bazunu.

City have already given Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Tommy Doyle new loans this month, so Bazunu may be another to watch in the coming days.
