Lee Cattermole is sticking with Sunderland.

The midfielder has been linked with a return to Middlesbrough.

The Sunderland Echo says there is little prospect of the 28-year-old returning to the Riverside, particularly with another five years to run on his Stadium of Light deal.

Boro are planning a £5 million bid for Cattermole.
