Hull City midfielder Bryan Hughes is a target for Middlesbrough.

Hughes is coming off contract at the KC and is being allowed to leave the club this summer.

The Hull Daily Mail says according to a source close to the player, Middlesbrough are one team understood to be showing an interest in Hughes, with boss Gareth Southgate keen to add experience to his squad ahead of the new Championship season.

However, any move for Hughes will hinge on Boro moving on a host of high earners this summer.
