Middlesbrough Academy duo Mitchell Curry and Ben Liddle have committed their future to the club by penning professional contracts.

Striker Curry, 17, hit more than 20 goals for Boro's U18 side last season and has already added another five goals so far this term.

Midfielder Liddle, 18, follows in the footsteps of father Craig – who currently coaches both boys in Boro's Academy.

Craig made 25 appearances for Boro in his playing career, as well enjoying more than 250 games for nearby Darlington.
