Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate is adamant he has confidence in young goalkeepers Ross Turnbull and Brad Jones.

Southgate said: "The situation is the same, I think they need an opportunity. They have both been back early for pre-season and they are both - as you would hope and expect - really up for the challenge.

"We've got two good young goalkeepers there and sometimes - as we've seen with players in other positions - people just need an opportunity."
