Middlesbrough boss Mowbray awarded Championship manager of the month

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has been named the Championship manager of the month for December.

Mowbray steered Boro, who sit fourth in the table and just two points behind leaders Southampton, to four wins and a draw during the month.

The former Celtic chief beat off competition from Brian McDermott (Reading), Eddie Howe (Burnley) and Sean Dyche (Watford) to scoop the award for the second time this season.
