Middlesbrough appoint new chief executive

Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson has appointed Neil Bausor as the club's new chief executive. Bausor, the club's former chief operating officer, has been doing the job on an interim basis for the last nine months.

Gibson said: "I am very pleased with the job he has done and as a result of that I have decided to appoint him chief executive on a permanent basis.

"I am confident Neil will continue to make a significant contribution to the success of the club in this role."
